Funny how something so simple as growing a carrot can feel so amazing. I work on a computer all day so to get my hands dirty and dig into the earth and grow something is a wonderful experience. I'm also proud of it as it's much better for the environment to eat local food — and what's more local than your backyard! — as opposed to food that is shipped hundreds, if not thousands of miles.
