Bin Major’s Wedding

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

(& Carmen’s but a different Carmen)

Note to Mr.Major:
Congratulations buddy. You did it kinda backwards but congratulations all the same — the kids are suppose to come after the wedding, and the relationship is definitely suppose to come after the kids. You lucked out. You know have a beautiful wife and three beautiful daughters. So once again, congratulations.

Yep, that’s me. Behind me is where the ceremony was. Sorry, I’ve got no pictures of the actual ceremony.

This is the same spot except facing the opposite direction. This is looking back at the hotel towards the dining hall were the reception begins.

The wedding reception. Free finger food and most importantly, free booze. I had a kick ass time drinking lots of the house wine, visiting with Bin’s mom and wrestling with the little kids that were all over the place.

The Bride and the groom the day after the wedding.

After I finished up my very late breakfast / lunch Bin, Carmen and I decided to go to a local diner to get some food. Bin & Carmen were a bit hungry and well, I’m always hungry, even after I eat. So we checked out this place. I ordered a cup of tea and a piece of Lemon cake. It was by far the absolute worst tea and lemon cake I ever had. I drank the tea, and threw away the lemon cake. I’m a big fan of small time diners, but this place was awful.

New York, New York!

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Carmen and I recently went to New York City. I had to go for business reasons but we extended our stay over the weekend and made a mini personal vacation out of it. This was our first time in NYC. It is amazing! It’s huge, crowded, dirty, beautiful, noisy, romantic and overwhelming. We had a blast.

Muir Woods: Walk in the park — The Redwoods

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Today Carmen, Nikki, Tyler and I (Derrek) drove up to Muir woods and hiked about 5-8 miles. It was one of the most beautiful forests I’ve ever seen. These pictures hardly do it justice. Afterwards we went cruising a little further north along Highway 1 and took a few scenic pictures of the ocean.

Another day in san fran for little gincy. in the morning (11am) we had coffee and breakfast with all kinds of toppings. then spencer and i were off through golden gate park. we walked all the way through the park to the beach. a good 3 1/2 mile trek. then we strolled along the beach for a while, freasing our feet in the cold water.

afterwards we headed up to a local diner that’s been there since the late 30’s. spencer had a blt and i chowed down on red clam chowder

then we strolled our way all the way back to the apartment. another 3 plus mile hike. once we made it back to the apartment we rested our sore feat and then carmen came home. after a couple hours more of resting we headed to one of the local thai restaraunts and enjoyed a variety of foods. we had thai iced tea’s all around, i had pra ram (chicken and peanut sauce), spencer had garlic shrimp and rice, and carmen had pad thai (rice noodles, shrimp, tofu, and a variety of other stuff) grub was good

Spencer in San Francisco & Wormy’s B-day

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

Hey folks,

Yesterday was spencer’s first day in San Francisco, although not his first time here. We picked him up at the airport with no glitches, everything was on time and smooth sailing. We headed back to the house to drop off his bags and then we were off to get some food. We stopped at one of the neighborhood favorites and the vote was pizza (it was close by). After satisfying our stomachs we headed off to the park for a little soccer and to enjoy the nice sunny weather in the 70’s. : )

Later Tyler cooked up a nice bit of stir fry and egg drop soup. There were many friends around including My self, Carmen, Tyler, Spencer, Shaum, Worm, & Megan (one of our neighbors). It was a grand ole time and we were up till midnight. Spencer was as a trooper and seemed full of energy until someone pulled the plug on the little guy and we found him conked out in tyler’s bed. Here are a few pics from the day. Sorry there not better, we got cought up in enjoying the day.
