Hey guys

well i’ve been working at the bstro for 3 days now. 3 more to go and i should know if things will be permanent. i think it will go well though ( i am on a 2 week trial period )

i’m also doing some contract work for Peter Samuels

i am helping him get his computer’s organized, developing file management systems, and workflows.
i spent my summer developing this stuff for my business with eric.
and after interviewing with peter for a studio manager job, we decided i would be of better use as a contract, right hand mand kind of guy. to help him speed up and simplify his workflow.
basically i am designing systems here. he’s a cool guy and i get a kick out of working with him

there is not real message here. just sort of exploring compositions

so i started two days ago working as an intern at the creative b’stro. it’s been fun working there. easy going and it has a strong focus on design, rather than the technology behind it. i’ve got a lot of good vibes going into this place and i hope to stay on there for a couple of years if things go well.

they have started me out working on some web designs for a security tech company called redseal. it’s a fairly interesting project, in that they do not all ready have a lot of branding, so there is a decent amount of freedom to sort of create there identity. ive done several designs already, working from scratch and also reworking some of the designs that my peers had already created. i’ve got some decent feed back from them so far, but i will be interested in seeing what the big boss has to say about them (she’s out of town till monday)

here is an image of one of the designs that i came up with from scratch

it needs a little work, i think it needs to be softer and more professional looking, target audience here is ceo corporate guys who make big decisions, also super geek tech guys. the ceo’s will be buying the product for the geek tech guys to use.

i’d love to hear what everyone’s impression of this is. it’s just a rough so you won’t hurt my feelings any

does life get any sweeter than this?

i took this photo on my way back to san francisco after visiting my family back in arkansas.
i’m starting a project for myself where i design a full spread once a day.
ive been behind on the project, but i am picking it up again
i like it because it allows me to work self indulgenetly.
i can design and create artwork for myself rather than somebody else
this is image is from one of my favorite spreads of the book
for me the design here seems to be about controlled freedom
feel free to comment.
after all that is kind of what this is all about

Hey hey everybody!

I started this web log (blog) to sort of give us all a way to keep in touch and see what we are all up to. The world is getting smaller and we are moving farther apart all at the same time. So hopefully this will keep us in touch. If you take a quick look around you can figure out how all of this works pretty easily. I made this for us. So feel free to post and write anything you want here. You can upload pictures or just write down your thoughts or whatever else comes to mind. Check this daily if you like it. I will be trying to post pictures and artwork here at least once a day so you guys can see what I am up to. Feel free to do the same. It’s not hard. Just follow the instructions and what not and your on your way.
